For the second year in a row, The Trenton Rotary Club has claimed the Dick Hedke Award for Best All-Around Service in Rotary District 6400, which is comprised of over 51 clubs in Lenawee, Monroe, Wayne counties of Michigan and Essex County of Ontario. President Joe Hoshaw and several club members and spouses are pictured above with the Memorial Bell and Banner that are annually awarded to the club that captures the Hedke Prize. Club hosts special evening meeting
For visiting GSE team from Hungary
Posted May 14
Trenton Rotary welcomed the visiting Group Study Exchange team from Hungary for a special “multi-club” evening meeting May 4 at the Westfield Center. GSE team leader Dr. Sandor Kiss and team members Judit Fodor, Lajos Giczi, Melinda Pap and Gergely Roman teamed up to provide a fascinating presentation on life in their homeland and offered insights on their five-week visit to District 6400 as part of this Rotary educational exchange program, which attempts to expose young working professionals to other cultures. Each member of the team is sponsored by a Rotary Club near their home towns. Following the presentations, the team members and Trenton Club president Joe Hoshaw continued a long-standing Rotary tradition by exchanging club banners. The team will return to Hungary on May 12. Along with the team members, the club hosted guests from several neighboring clubs, including Taylor, Gibraltar, Carleton and Grosse Ile.
